We want you to make the most of your virtual training sessions, so that you feel like you’re getting the same value as an in-person session.
They are extremely helpful for both you and us. We want to be able to see you!
Laptops are great when the lighting is good and there is space for you to move.
(For the camera, best to be a few feet away (at least 2-3 feet away) and 2-3 feet up from the ground.) (It also may be worth noting that Zoom allows two camera angles from your laptop , which allows for a more efficient session!)
We would also suggest turning the volume on your device all the way up. This is an easy fix that can make the world of a difference.
Make sure any screen savers (for laptops) are set to “never" they can always set it back after the session is over). For phones and tablets, make sure any auto-locks are set to “never” as well.
All Zoom appointments will be recorded and available on the cloud for 1 week. If you’d like to keep your session saved, be sure to download it before the week is up.
We will also send you videos and provide an option for an online membership to our exercise library.
Props and tools may be necessary for your session. This could be with items you already have at home.
Soup cans or water bottles make great weights, belts and towels can be used in place of yoga straps and books can be used in place of yoga blocks. Keep a hand towel nearby as well, they make one of the best props ever!
The wall also comes in handy so if possible, set up your mat near some wall space or a couch.
If you’d like to feel more prepared, we have a list of suggested props and small items to add to your home gym repertoire.
Technology gives us the tools to have a direct impact on your fitness regardless if we're in person or not. With assessments and direction we can walk you through our sessions as if we were in the same location. The key is having a clear and bright camera setup so we can see the full picture of your movement.
